American Idol Top 10 Guys

First of all, let me start by saying where did American Idol go? I (as usual) was super excited to start the new season and had picked favorites out from day one. I still like a lot of these people, but I have to honestly say I am so disappointed in Idol. Not who they chose or anything like that, I even think some of the people are trying. I just don't see why they are sucking it up so bad, this doesn't remind me of a season of American Idol where you can't wait for the next episode and get all giddy and excited for "American Idol" night. This is more of a ....sigh let's get this over with in hopes that maybe someone on here will jump start my poor, broken expectations.

But, I still haven't fully given up on them. So, here is my review on the Top 10 Guys.

Michael Lynche - This guy is def one of my top favs in this competition. Not only is he a beyond like-able guy, he actually can sing and very well. His story is great, I don't know anyone who wouldn't like him and that makes his singing so much better to me. I think he'll be in the top 3 guys this year.

John Park - As a plus side, I really liked this guy in the beginning and I had high hopes for him. I still think he's attractive and a like-able guy, but unfortunately I just don't think his singing is going to cut it. I think he probably has a good voice, but it's being smothered under terrible song choices. I have a feeling he will be one of the two to go this week.

Casey James - Casey is one of my favorites, and while I think he DOES have a really good voice I can't say that's why I actually call him a favorite. I think he is gorgeous and has great star potential, and I'll honestly admit that's probably mostly why he is popular. A lot of people don't even think he is a great singer, personally I do and I think he could blow other people out of the water. He just needs to try harder, this week wasn't great vocally for him. I still think he'll be here next week though.

Alex Lambert - When it comes to making a big improvement, this guy wins my vote. I will admit I was not a huge fan when he first started, mainly because I just thought he was boring and didn't stand out. The more I watch and hear him the more I am def rooting for this guy. He is so adorable and when he came out of his shell some this week you could see the potential he's holding back. I hope he looses his nerves and comes back next week ready to rock it out. I think if he continues getting better I could see him in Top 3 guys. One more thing though, lose the mullet... it creeps me out.

Todrick Hall - MMMmmm. That's all I could think of when I first saw him on the show. His eyes look like they want to undress my soul and his singing was amazing. Putting my "thoughts" to the side haha I really am disappointed in him. /Sigh I think out of all the guys he probably has one of the best vocals, but unfortunately I'm starting to think he won't be here much longer to show us that. I was blown away by him for some reason in the beginning, but he has made some terrible choices for himself song wise and I'm not sure he can come back from that. If you can Todrick, I am behind you 100 percent!

Aaron Kelly - This little guy might be underestimated in this competition. I personally do not feel a strong attachment for him, and I'm not sure if it's his age or his voice or the fact that he acts like he swallowed a gallon of Prozac before he goes on stage. I think he is sweet and well liked and does a good job singing, I just don't see the wow factor.

Jermaine Sellers - Personally, one of my favorites in this competition. I honestly think he has a great voice, but that's not the main reason I like him. I like his personality, his look, his charm and charisma. He has the whole package going he just need to put all of that WITH his voice. I love his voice, but again what's with the terrible song choices?? I hate when there could be a great thing with someone, but they just don't see which way they should go with it. I hope he is here next week to prove he's ready to go all the way.

Tim Urban - The positive, this guy really tries, he honestly does and he has a great look. I really don't think there's much more after that to write. Honestly, I'm not sure how he survived last week and his voice isn't TERRIBLE, it's just dramatically bad. I'll see you next season and wish you luck.

Andrew Garcia - Before Andrew got picked for the Top 24, I was already in love with him. He has a great story, a great look, and a great attitude. I'm always looking for something "different' and he def had that as well. His voice was amazing and I was sure he would go to the end. That is until AFTER he sung Straight Up. I feel bad for him because I just am not sure he is ever going to go back up to that standard. I think he has a great voice and great potential he's just not making great choices. I'll admit last week was way more entertaining than this week, and I think he'll make it through just fine. But PLEASE up your game Andrew and bring us back to the you we want.

Lee Dewyze - Lee is my last pick for the possible Top 3 guys. I think he has really great like-ability and has good stage presence. I also love his raspy, sexy voice haha. I think he will go far in this competition IF he gets some more confidence, he needs to OWN that stage and also watch his vocals, they def need a little tampering with sometimes, but I can't complain especially with what I've been given this year.

~~I still have hope for a few of you guys, please someone bring life back into this show. I really don't want one of my favorite shows to be ruined for life by a terrible season. Isn't this the Top 20??? I was starting to think it was still auditions.

One final vent - I just wanted to clarify that I am TWENTY FOUR years old. 24. I didn't realize that American Idol quit taping on Fox and switched to GBC. Geriatrics Broadcasting Company. I'm not 98 years old, If you want to keep my attention start singing some current songs before I strangle myself with my crochet yarn. I don't even care if it's good, I would rather watch a horrible performance as long as I could rock it out. Instead I just want to take my vitamins and take a nap after I eat at Denny's at 3 PM.

The only thing that is keeping me going is dreaming that they will be bringing Adam Lambert back to rock my socks off.

<3 you Adam

Nutella

I am the odd ball who has never tried Nutella lol. Well until last night that is. For a long time I have only heard people rave about Nutella, how awesome and amazing it is. I was not so impressed. I guess in my mind I was seeing it as a "nut" butter similar to peanut butter, but obviously different. Which it IS hazelnut which I love but mixed with the cocoa it just tasted like chocolate. Ew. And people put this on bread and fruit and stuff lol. And of course like everyone else, I LOVE chocolate. And especially for kids and adults who want chocolate this would be a GREAT substitute that is a healthier choice. To me it tasted like the chocolate candies with hazelnut pieces in them. For what it is, it's really good. But I was just disappointed because I thought it was something different. I would only eat it as a "chocolate" version, especially not on random food. Another thing I noticed though was how high in calories it was!!! I think chocolate has less honestly lol. Obviously this is better for you than chocolate I would hope.

17 Again

Rating: 10

I actually loved this movie. I remember seeing Big a LONG time ago haha and it was really old for me then too. I was excited when I saw 17 Again was coming out, and I wasn't disappointed. At first I thought it might be more for the teen age group, but only because Zac Efron was the main character. I honestly hadn't seen much of anything with him because I assumed it was a "tween" craze. I have to say he's only a few years younger than me and I'm getting the craze myself :P I thought the movie had a lot of funny parts and was charming. There were a few good names in the cast, including one of my favorites, Michelle Trachtenberg. And I"ll embarrass myself and admit I actually did cry a little towards the end haha. But I would highly recommend this to anyone, it's def worth watching.

I would def buy this movie.

Chipotle

Rating: 5

I had never been to a Chipotle's before. I have heard nothing but great things about it; how yummy the food was, how huge the food was, how I should eat there and how they couldn't believe I HADN'T eaten there. So, last night I finally tried one out and I have to say I wasn't impressed. They don't have a huge selection of foods. There are burritos, taco bowls, and supposedly tacos but I didn't even see them on the menu. Oh, they also had chips and salsa or guacamole. The guacamole was excellent. I ordered the vegetarian burrito and why I rated it a 5 was because the burrito would have actually been really good probably, however I didn't like the rice and while I was amazed at how HUGE the burrito was, it was extremely hard to eat because of it's size. If I had to choose I would prefer a bigger selection of food and smaller portions, even though that's what I know they are known for. I just think I was disappointed because it (to me) didn't live up to it's hype. I probably wouldn't go back anytime soon, I'd rather spend 5 bucks on a burrito and taco from Taco Bell.
